Bitget Wallet with its new Mini App, attracting over six million users in just three days since its launch.
This self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet, operated by the Bitget exchange, is quickly gaining popularity among users who want to buy, store, and send crypto seamlessly within the app.
Bitget Wallet Lite
Bitget officially launched the Bitget Wallet Lite, a multichain wallet integrated into Telegram.
This launch came just three days after the app’s soft launch on October 28, and it’s already making a big splash.
In those initial days, the app saw its user base grow rapidly, hitting three million users within the first two days and reaching six million by the official launch date. That’s some crazy growth!
But what’s behind this? Alvin Kan, Bitget Wallet’s COO shared that strategic marketing campaigns and engaging features have played a big role, especially one standout initiative which was offering early user rewards, which encouraged users to jump on board quickly.
The first million users received gifts as part of a targeted campaign that created excitement and urgency.
Additionally, partnerships with other Mini Apps like Tomarket helped widen Bitget Wallet’s reach on Telegram.
Referral programs also incentivized users to invite friends and earn rewards, further boosting the app’s popularity.
The crypto scene on Telegram
Telegram already has its own built-in crypto wallet called the not-so-creative name Wallet, but there are also plenty of Mini Apps offering various crypto wallet services.
Some of the most popular wallets on Telegram include Hot Wallet with 5.8 million monthly users and Tonkeeper with 760,000 users.
But with all this activity comes some caution. Users should be careful when interacting with Mini Apps on Telegram due to an increase in phishing attacks and other security risks.
Bitget has warned that monthly active user data can be manipulated, which might give scammers a chance to pose as legitimate crypto exchanges.
They recommend checking for Telegram’s official verification blue tag or confirming details with the official brand account for safety.
What’s next?
As of now, Bitget Wallet Lite doesn’t have the official verification tag yet, but a spokesperson mentioned it will be coming soon.
With so much excitement around crypto wallets on Telegram, it’s clear that users are eager to explore new ways to manage their digital assets. Especially when this comes with rewards.
